THIS BLOCK IS A WORK IN PROGRESS: This block will describe the framework of the project in such a way that it is clear that this is a decentralized, participatory (thus DIY) campaign in which everyone just takes their own ideas and runs with them, in order to encourage meaningful conversation about the climate crisis and what we can do to improve matters as soon as possible.
In addition to everyday normal people, people who like to work on their craft skills and comedy chops, guest artists will be invited to share their projects, or perhaps they will enlist members of the public to crowdsource some creative bits (like an artist who uses 1,000 origami cranes by 100 people, for example). These are collaborative and additive works. Social sculpture, really.
Many more details will appear on this page, explaining how to get involved and do your part to get some real climate talk happening in your neck of the woods, wherever that may be. #apocacomedy
THIS BLOCK IS A WORK IN PROGRESS:
There is an ancient history of using comedy as a remedy, with humor as the "medicine" we need to make dramatic changes for the better.
#Clownsourcing is social media prompt thing, but also a way of gathering the forces of the entertainment world, meaning theatre people, and all sorts of performers, magic makers and maestros of merriment, to join in and bring some LOVE to the global climate conversation so we can get going on a WILD ECONOMY and set things right.
THIS BLOCK IS A WORK IN PROGRESS
Here's a starter list of the kinds of events, art projects and community projects and activities can be created by you and your community partners as a springboard for genuine conversation about the climate crisis. There are things we can all do to take real action now. We're all in this together and there's no real reason why we can't have some fun while we also do everything in our power to - yes, say it with me: We're gonna save the world!!
… and so many more - ones from Africa, Asia and everywhere, public and often very wholesome, kid-friendly rites and rituals that we don't even know about yet. Let's dialogue!
Volunteers on Tik Tok could jump start this part of the global conversation – “If you don't know what a bake sale is, or you do something different, please tell us what your school, team, service troop members, et alia do when they want to rally community spirit?”
(Videos may also feature Tobey in the comedy character of “Tik Tok grandma”).
